For an occupied property, Mirage is conceived to allow the transition to its protective state without requiring manual intervention from the occupants.

When the property is unoccupied, the protective state may also be activated as part of the owner's departure procedure.

Target transition time and operational parameters will form part of the engineering and validation programme.

After observing the devastating consequences of the Joplin tornado, one question remained: could architecture itself offer people another protective option when extreme conditions threaten the world outside?

FROM QUESTION TO CONCEPT

ONE QUESTION.
FIFTEEN YEARS OF EXPLORATION.

That question led José Paez Martinez to years of independent research and exploration across architecture, advanced materials, emerging technologies, protective systems and 3D modelling.

An entrepreneur and self-taught concept designer, José approached each new obstacle as another discipline to understand. Each discovery helped refine the original idea.

Gradually, a question became a concept. The concept became a system.
